Ndoto is a Swahili word meaning “dream.” We aim to give at-risk youth a chance to dream for themselves, their community, and the kingdom of God through education, discipleship, and development. Upper Primary School Teacher

Location: Obunga – Kisumu

PURPOSE

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Grade School Teacher to join our vibrant team and play an essential role in the academic and social development of young learners. 

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Deliver engaging, Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) -aligned lessons for learners.
• Assess and document learner progress using CBC tools and methods.
• Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, and teaching aids.
• Maintain updated learner portfolios and progress records.
• Integrate Information Computer Technology (ICT) and creative teaching methods into daily lessons.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment.
• Support the academic, social, and emotional development of all learners.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians on learner progress.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and school administration.
• Participate actively in school activities, clubs, and events.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• •  MUST have at least a Diploma in Primary Education/ Bachelor of Education
  • MUST have a valid TSC number
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in handling upper primary classes
  • Proven experience in Competency Based Curriculum (CBC)
  • Basic knowledge in ICT integration and use of educational platforms in learning
  • Proficiency in English and Swahili, both written and spoken.

  • Should be creativity and resourcefulness
  • Flexibility and competent in handling both early years and upper primary levels.
  • Should have strong ethical standards and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Familiar with international curricula and standards alongside proficiency in Kenya’s CBC.
  • Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic and sometimes challenging environment.
  • Able to teach foreign languages.
