Long before Ndoto was launched to educate, disciple, and develop at-risk youth, Allison and several other volunteers worked to help plant a church in the middle of Obunga.

by Fred Sadia This is not a story about the Los Angeles basketball team landing in Africa, but rather it’s a story of young Ndoto girls and boys who go to a school called Lake Primary here in Kisumu. They acquired the name Lakers as a result of the love they have for each other and their resolve to remain united as a team. It’s a team composed of nine members: Purity (sponsored by Linda S.) and Georgina (sponsored by Richard & Chris T.), both of whom are in the 8th grade.

by Fred Sadia Ndoto Sunday School Students It’s now one month since the schools opened, and the absence of our Sunday school kids who have already gone back to their various boarding schools can already be felt. The holiday went quickly, but the beautiful moments we shared during the term break are still as fresh in our minds as the first gleam of dawn each day. We culminated last year by planting the art of service into the hearts of the Ndoto Sunday school kids.

“I don’t see why I would want to live without Jesus.” Joseph W, a college student who joined Ndoto in 2014, finally made this statement in July of this year. Like all cases of salvation, however, this was neither the beginning nor the end of the story!
